Showcasing your business or product lines is easily done at a trade show, but according to the experts, you have mere seconds to captivate your target audience to draw them into your booth.
Think about your visual appeal. Trade shows are, by their nature, visually abundant. How do you want your prospects to see you?
You may not have a professional display right now. Is that a purchase you plan to make? Could you rent one instead? Or could you accomplish your marketing goals with a cloth-covered table, a full-color banner on the back wall, and some professionally produced posters on an easel?
For Julie Cubino, a professional organizer, coach and co-owner of Harmony at Last, her trade show display projects a professional image, and it ties strongly to her company’s brand. “The design of our display really supports the message we want to share with others. As our business name suggests, it is really important that our display reflects balance, serenity and calm.”
Julie uses a tabletop display that is easily transported from event to event. Signs that outline her marketing message are Velcro-adhered to the display before she leaves the office. At the trade show, Julie opens the display and with the addition of a few table-top items, is set up in a matter of minutes. Julie uses her company’s purple color on the signage, her logo is also clearly displayed, and her booth is visually appealing.
For Lake Champlain International, Inc. organizers of the LCI Father’s Day Derby, trade shows provide incredible marketing opportunities to their target audience—anglers. Several times a year, they pack their display and travel to sportsman shows around the east. “Trade shows allow us to communicate with the angling public,” says Jason Galipeau, Operations Director. “And we enjoy that personal connection with our supporters, sponsors and customers.”
Having a floor-model display, according to Jason, helps eliminate last minute searches for materials. It also makes his trips more convenient and eliminates the surprises that can ruin any trade show appearance. The full-color graphic panels showing winners with their piscine prizes excite trade show attendees and immediately draw them into the booth. “We are delighted with the ease of set-up and break down of our professional display,” says Jason.
For your next trade show event, make your company captivating…with a visually appealing display, you can market to anyone in 10 seconds or less.
